After 3 years of his first instrument, Stephen is retiring his flute. He is loving his new instrument, the guitar and is happy to move on! Taryn continues to enjoy playing violin with a group. It gives her the incentive to keep practicing even though she has not taken any private lessons since this new year began. She hopes to take part of Tehillah Chamber Players again next Spring, when, Lord willing, she will be able to drive herself to practice!
Here are two clips of their concert. The first one is shorter with a recognizable melody from Fiddler on the Roof with a brief violin solo by Taryn. The second one is a piece entitled New World Symphony which they both think is the best one out of the half dozen that they played and a little longer for fans of orchestra type music.

I didn't know that Tehillah means "praise" until today and the kids have been in this orchestra the whole schoolyear. They performed this afternoon at another 55+ facility in South Carolina. They have one last performance at the end of the month and they will be done! This song on the video clip was picked specifically for you by T & S because they like the way all the instruments come together in this ensemble. It is a Celtic tune. They have improved greatly by being part of this group and look forward to being in it again next Spring.
And, speaking of praise, last night Paige played one of her best soccer games yet. She was especially happy because she didn't have a cough now that she is fully recovered from the virus and the weather was beautiful (an evening game!) which means she wasn't feeling overly faint from the hot mid-day sun and humidity. They tied 2-2 which has boosted their morale after a couple of losses lately. We are so proud of Paige and Maddie too for their energetic effort on the field. She can't believe the season is already half over.
